Position

Academic Background

LL.B. at Universidad de Chile, 2006 (Summa Cum Laude). Mr. Awad studied a Master of General Law with a Major in Public Law and a Master in Economic Criminal Law, both at Universidad de Chile. LL.M. at Columbia University (2019), after which he was admitted to the N.Y. State Bar (2020). Postgraduate Diploma on Antitrust Law at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (2021).

Professional Experience

Previous to founding BACS, he worked at Firm Bofill Mir & Álvarez Jana (2009-2011). During his leave of absence from BCS, after completing an LL.M in Columbia University, he worked as a volunteer attorney in the Antitrust Division of the New York State Office of the Attorney General (2019) and as foreign associate at Holland & Knight, Miami (2020).

Academic Activities

He has taught Criminal Law to undergraduate students at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and has been assistant teacher of Civil Law at Universidad de Chile. Currently he teaches in the Master of Law at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
